ASSIGNMENT 2

INSTRUCTIONS: PLEASE ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS

PART A

Bibliometric analysis (30 Marks)

  1. Identify a (new) concept in your area of specialization or choose from this list. Once you make a choice consult the lecturer to have it recorded against your name. No two students should perform the bibliographic analysis on the same concept/topic.
  2. Download bibliographic from Scopus, (use the access I have given you) and perform a bibliometric analysis of the data. The bibliometric analysis should include co-authorship analysis, keyword co-occurrence analysis, bibliographic coupling, and co-citation analysis. No two students should perform the bibliographic analysis on the same concept/topic.
  3. From the bibliographic coupling analysis identify the major themes of research that have emerged in the development of research of the concept you chose. Also identify some theoretical gaps in the area.
  4. Present a thorough write-up of the methodology used in the bibliometric analysis (for example, how did you source for the bibliographic data, what keywords did you use for the search, how many documents did the initial search yield, what were the inclusion and exclusion criteria used, etc)

PART B

Best-Worst Method (30 Marks)

  1. Consult the instructor of the course to choose an appropriate topic
  2. Based on the topic you have picked conduct a review of literature in the area to identify criteria and sub-criteria that are concerned with the topic
  3. Design a questionnaire with google forms and collect data from 8 experts based on your chosen topic.
  4. Using the data you have collected, perform a best-worst analysis of the data and write a report on the analysis. The report should concentrate on the methodology and analysis and should take a format that is appropriate for submission to a journal

PART C

Structural Equation Modeling

DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS (10 Marks)

  1. Consult the instructor for a research model and its corresponding data.
  2. Using an appropriate statistical technique, assess whether common method variance bias is present in the data provided.
  3. Describe the nature of the distribution of the data you have been given. (Perform appropriate tests to see if the data is normally distributed)
  4. Why is the requirement of multivariate normality not such a big issue when employing PLS-SEM?
  5. Explore the correlation between the variables you employed in your study.
  6. Report the aggregate Mean and Standard Deviation of the variables in your model

BASIC PLS- SEM (10 Marks)

  1. Report on the reliability, discriminant validity, and convergent validity of the measurement model. If there is a concern for any of these, explore the data to see if it can be fixed.
  2. Having assessed the adequacy of the measurement model, perform the bootstrapping procedure to assess the Structural Model. Report on the size, sign, and significance of the path coefficients. Report on the predictive power of the model using SRMR, Q2, R2, and PLS-Predict.
  3. Write a report that summarizes the findings from both the measurement model assessment and structural model assessment. The report should take a format that is appropriate for submission to a journal

ADVANCED SEM (20 Marks)

  1. Using multi-group analysis, explore the moderating effect of demographic variables such as age/gender on the relationship between the constructs.
  2. Explore the moderating effect of the moderator variable provided in the model
  3. Assess the mediating role of the mediator you identified in your model. Is there full mediation or partial mediation
  4. Perform Importance-Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) to determine the most important factors as well as their performance in predicting the target variable.
  5. Using the latent variable scores generated from the PLS-SEM analysis run Artificial Neural Network Analysis and compare the results to those in the IPMA
  6. Perform Necessary Condition Analysis to identify the necessary factor in determining the target variable.
  7. Present an extensive write-up on the results from 1-5 under Advanced SEM - Identify a (new) concept in your area of specialization or choose from this list. Once you make a choice consult the lecturer to have it recorded against your name. No two students should perform the bibliographic analysis on the same concept/topic.
