Assignment task

Write an essay of 1000 words, reflecting on your behaviour and experience in an educational or employment experience to demonstrate effective communication skills applicable to professional context.

In your reflection, choose to use the Gibbs Cycle as the theoretical frameworks to conduct your reflection. In addition, your reflection must underpin either one or two communication skills as below:

  1. Listening & Questioning skills
    1. Conflict Resolution and Mediation skills
    2. Emotional Intelligence i.e. the ability to understand and manage your emotions so as to communicate effectively, avoid stress, overcome challenges and empathise with others
    3. Nonverbal communication such as body language, eye contact, hand gestures, and tone of voice and use of Alternative communication skills to deal with individuals with specific communication needs such as those with visual and hearing impairments
    4. Appropriate use of Digital technology

Task requirements

Written work submitted as part of this assignment should be presented according to the following:

  1. The essay should be 1.5 line spaced

  4. The assessment must be within the word count range 900-1100
